SCARS 2002
2001 : Gary records his new album "Back to the blues", which is released in March. After experimenting with different styles he returns to the music he loves, the blues. Including both originals and remakes, the album is a return to the early '90s style of Gary. Most of the album' s material was recorded live, and it obviously gives out that feeling. "How many lies", "Enough of the blues", "Cold black night" are the strong moments but the most touching one is a classic Gary Moore' s instrumental ballad "The Prophet". 2 / 6 / 2001 GARY MOORE IN GREECE!!!!!! Their first studio album "Scars" is released on September 2nd on Sanctuary Records, including very powerfull rock songs, remembering of Hendrix and Stevie Ray Vaughan sound, in a more modern way. This is another big surprise from Gary, who seems to be very openminded and try new styles in his music.

2003 : Scars are the special guest on the "Monsters of Rock" UK tour in May 2003, with Whitesnake and Y&T. Gary plays again rock songs from his '80s period in this tour and aDVD (first of Gary Moore) and live CD "Live at Monsters of Rock" are recorded during the tour and released later. Gary injures his hand and all summer concerts will be cancelled.
