2010 : Gary and his blues band start the year with a surprise. Gary is going to play to Japan after 21 years! They also stop in Russia and Korea. But then .... the real surprise comes. It is announced that Gary is going to play the '80s Hard Rock songs again, and guess his partner...Neil Carter! After 21 years! The Rock line up is completed by 2 well known musicians : Jonathan Noyce on bass and Darrin Mooney on drums. They are playing in big European Rock festivals. They are about to begin recordings for a Celtic Rock album. The live set list contains 3 new Rock songs : Days of heroes, Oh wild one, Where are you now.

2011 : Gary Moore passed away on Sunday 6th of February 2011 in his sleep of a heart attack while on holiday in Spain. He had just begun a six day holiday with his girlfriend to the five-star Keminski Resort Hotel in Estepona, South Spain.

Gary was laid to rest on 23th of February at a private ceremony held at St Margaret's Church, Rottingdean in East Sussex, UK.

Gary is survived by four children, daughters Saoirse and Lily and sons Jack and Gus.
