Gary Moore's biography 1990-1999

:
Gary makes a breakthrough in his career and releases a rock/blues album "Still got the blues", including famous blues songs and someGary with Albert King in 1990 Gary' s originals. Special guests are Albert King, Albert Collins and George Harrison. All the songs are fantastic, and the album gets unexpected success all around the world becoming his best selling one. The single "Still got the blues" is one of the greatest ballads ever written and even breaks through in the USA. He forms a big band (including brass section) and tours all around Europe with huge success, having as special guest Albert Collins at some gigs. During the summer, he appears for the first time at Montreux Jazz Festival, in Switzerland and the show is filmed for future release. A live show at Hammersmith Odeon in London is also captured and released on video, "An evening of the blues with Gary Moore and the Midnight Blues Band", featuring Albert King and Albert Collins. This is one of the best periods of Gary Moore 's career.

: Records the material for his new album.

: "After hours", a brilliant blues album followes up, with Albert Collins and B.B King as special guests. This album is less rocky than the previous one, there are some female backing vocals and many brass sections by The Memphis Horns. Some notable moments are "Cold day in hell", " Story of the blues", "Separate ways", "The blues is alright", "Key to love", "Nothing' s the same". His live band is getting bigger after the addition of female backing vocals.

: Live album "Blues alive" (including "Parisienne walkways"!) and live video "Live blues" with B.B King on stage for two tracks. Moreover, some session work with Paul Rodgers, Albert Collins and a live appearance in Jack Bruce' s 50th birthday celebration BBM in 1994show.

: Gary forms BBM (Bruce, Baker, Moore) a trio band with Jack Bruce and Ginger Baker, the rhythm section of the Cream. Their first and only release is "Around the next dream", a brilliant album in which Gary seems to return in a more rocky sound. Unfortunately, BBM existed for a short period and played live only for some European countries. A collection under the title "Ballads & Blues 1982-1994" is also released, including some of his most famous slow songs and some unreleased bonus tracks.

: His new album is called "Blues for Greeny" and includes old Peter Green songs, played with the old famous Gibson Les Paul guitar that Green gave to Gary. During the short tour, a video tape is taken, "Blues for Greeny", which is released next year.

: His next album "Dark days in paradise" is something new. It' s a mix of many different styles, getting closer to the mainstream beats of the  decade. Great album, but without getting the success it deserves. The song " Business as usual " is extremely touching, as Gary talks about his life (each line is one memory, one-take lyrics, never changed) in a great passion. During the European tour, he plays again "Out in the fields" and "Over the hills and far away" after 1989!

: In January, Gary goes into studio to begin work on his new material. Gary appeared as special guest in some Jack Bruce' s live shows.

: "A different beat" is released in September. The album is another surprise from Gary, mixing blues and drum 'n' bass dance grooves. Many of the keyboard parts are guitar lines which have been looped and processed until they' re unrecognizable as a guitar! Some great songs are "Lost in your love", "Surrender" (with a thrilling long fade out blues solo) and Jimi Hendrix' "Fire" (with real drums). A European tour followes to promote the new album.
